I still remember many years ago when supermarkets started selling clothing. The media as well as a huge proportion of the public laughed at them but you know what they say, he who laughs last er… is successful and continues to sell clothes? Whatever, you get what I mean.
Anyway, being the type of mother that will shop for my family anywhere so long as it’s well-made and of good quality, I couldn’t resist the items below. They came from Morrisons and were an absolute bargain. Such a bargain that they were quickly bungled into my trolley an well hidden amongst the fruit and veg(just in case daddy wondered! Only teasing, he’s cool.)
I’m digressing too much and I’m guessing you have places to go and people to see and pretend to like so without further ado, here are the two pieces of toddler clothes that I bought from Morrisons supermarket.
Pink Romper set
The first one is a light pink romper set for £9.00. Now normally I’d provide a link but for some weird reason, Morrisons don’t sell their clothes online so you can check out what it’s like on Alex and if you think it’s gorgeous then you’ll find it at your nearest Morrisons.
The romper comes with a white blouse underneath which is actually quite cute and has detailed capped sleeves. I’ve tried sewing capped sleeves and although not hard to do so, it’s time consuming and because of that I have a newfound appreciation for them.
Printed Toddler dress
This dress here was a hit with mummy. Prints? Check. Tights? Check. Cardigan? You betcha! Talk about a big money saver. She can wear the dress by itself in the summer, with the cardigan in Autumn and with the tights in Winter! I was filled with glee at the fact that I had an outfit for three seasons and ended up laughing all the way to the checkout.
The shoes Alex wore with the dress were bought on sale at Accessorize and although they were only bought last week, they’re no longer being sold online.
The other shoes below we actually supermarket buys; the Silver jelly shoes were £2.50 at Morrisons (still there as of the 11th July) and the other canvas style silver pair we bought from Tesco Supermarket for about £9.00
So there you have it, a few items bought at my local Supermarket that is good value for money and produces quality items.
Do you buy clothing at the supermarket? Who for?
