My daughter Alex normally wears hand-me-downs that once belonged to her cousin but every so often we top up her wardrobe with extra pieces like jumpers and more leggings. This week we stopped off at Zara. I have a soft spot for Zara because they sell classic girls clothing at prices that don’t break the bank.
I’ve split this post into two with the next one being published next week so keep an eye out for the next instalment!
I love blouses and shirts not only on my but also on Alex and Zara never fails to come up with the goods. This shirt is indeed reminiscent of a romantic era, an era where people lived in houses situated on prairies and styled their hair into chignons. No chignons on this little lady though as she left her curls out to accompany the ruffles on the shirt.
The shirt is £14.99 GBP and you can purchase it here.
Ruffled Flannel Pinafore Dress
This dress combines two of my favourite things; ruffles and pinafores. There’s just something cute about a pinafore dress, especially when paired with Mary-Jane shoes. Don’t you think so?
I paired the dress with the romantic shirt to add to that ‘Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman’ kind of look. The material looks like it’s made of wool but it’s just cotton and a bit of polyester. Still quite warm though! Now all she needs are some knee-length white socks and Bob’s her uncle! The Dress is £22.99 GBP and can be purchased here.
Contrasting Trench Coat
I fell in love with this trench coat as soon as I saw it. It’s very reminiscent of Burberry’s trench coat. These type of coats have a tendency to be quite rigid in feel and style (I should know, I have one!) but this one is quite soft and warm too.
The trench coat is double-breasted and has snap buttons too. An adjustable belt surrounds the waist and the check style is incorporated into the sleeves too.
The coat is £24.99 GBP and can be found here.
There you have it folks, Alex’ bits and pieces to add to her winter collection. What have you bought for your little munchkin?
